At last we have a birth year. Hector was born on the 1st of January 1904. Hector survived the was and lived until the 30th of August 1973. We all could have met him. He lived out his life in the Natal farming region. His grave is in Utrecht.
Hector and Wilfred seem to have been the best of buds. Here are some photos to see what I mean.
