Emma had a daughter Emma

So original with the names. This is the child that Emma and Donald had. I will put her Death certificate at the bottom. From this info we can deduce:-

That Emma was born on the 21st of July 1863.

Her parents had been married for two and a half years at this point. Her mother was 42 and her father 52.

She married Carl Frederick Cloete.

She did have 2 children and showing a total lack of imagination called the first Emma and then the second Francis.

She died at 35 which is just way too young.
Emma her mother was 77 years old and I think her father was already dead. Poor older Emma , she has lost so very many family members.

I will go and find out more info and add it here.

Where was Edenburg and what was she doing there?
How long had she and her family live in the OFS?

Edenburg is a small sheep and cattle ranching town situated about 80 kilometres (50 mi) south of Bloemfontein in the Free State province of South Africa.
Edenburg was proclaimed a town in 1863, and received municipal government in 1891.
Town 85 km south-south-west of Bloemfontein. Laid out on the farm Rietfontein in 1862, it became a municipality in 1891. The name is said to be either of biblical origin or an adaptation of Edinburgh, name of the birthplace in Scotland of the Reverend Andrew Murray, for many years the only minister in the Orange Free State.
